Liz and Nick met on February 29th, 2020 (a leap year) on the dancefloor at one of the final parties in New York City before COVID hit. After discovering they were coincidentally from the same hometown, a wholesome 6-foot-apart friendship unfolded as they trauma-bonded over the world's impending end. As the months accumulated, so did their fondness for one another (and a sense of optimism that accompanied their blossoming romance). Months of laughter gradually turned into love as Nick asked Liz to be his girlfriend in September, on a brunch cruise sailing the Hudson River and soaking up the splendor of the Manhattan skyline.

From the moment Nick asked Liz to be his girlfriend, things moved fairly quickly as only three months later, Nick nervously asked Liz to accompany him on a move across the country; to Miami. To Nick's surprise, it was not a hard sell for Liz, whose adventurous spirit is always ready for a new experience. While on paper, it may have been a leap of faith, Liz and Nick always knew deep down they weren't crazy - this was more than just a passing romance. Nick had secretly even gotten Liz's ring size in October 2020 while in a gag gift shop on Halloween... one month after they started dating.

Miami (the magic city) has indeed been a magical place for the couple. As they got to know their city over the last few years, they also got to know each other. It is safe to say they truly grew as a couple and as individuals and created a bond that is palpable to everyone they come across. Together they have cultivated a wonderful community and created incredible memories surrounded by love. In their spare time, they enjoy dancing the night (and mornings) away, eating their way around the city, tapping into their collective spirituality, and cleaning garbage off the shorelines.

In their personal life, Nick is a talented musician who loves to perform and produce his original music. Liz loves to obsessively plan vacations, that's why a destination wedding at a music-themed resort was a no-brainer for the couple.
